MeroGel® Injectable
Bioresorbable Nasal Dressing & Sinus Stent

Adhesions from a lateralized middle turbinate are a common cause of FESS failure, and the 3-5 day postsurgical period is critical. MeroGel® Injectable Bioresorbable Nasal Dressing & Sinus Stent physically separates mucosal surfaces to prevent nasal adhesions during the important postoperative healing period.
A thick, viscous hydrogel, MeroGel Injectable is composed of cross-linked hyaluronic acid — a safe, biocompatible agent that creates a moist wound- healing environment. MeroGel Injectable contains more hyaluronic acid than any other hyaluronic acid nasal dressing available on the market.
MeroGel Injectable is the more economical and effective choice, offering:
-
excellent mucoadhesiveness and ease of use;
-
a shorter residence time;
-
more hyaluronic acid;
-
twice the amount of gel in a single package; and
-
a flexible catheter for easier access to hard-to-reach nasal cavities.

Why hyaluronic acid?
Introduced in 1998, MeroGel® Nasal Dressing/Sinus Stent was the first bioresorbable hyaluronic acid product indicated to prevent postoperative nasal adhesions and lateralization of the middle turbinate.
Studies have shown that wounds heal faster and the quality of tissue repair is higher with less fibrous scarring in the presence of hyaluronic acid.*
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring constituent of the extracellular matrix.
Biocompatibility, wound- healing properties and adhesion prevention have been well established for this material.
A recent study has shown MeroGel dressing is more effective than GelFilm® in preventing postoperative synechiae following sinus surgery.*
